Yes the super wealthy can own100,000 dollar machine guns that cost thousands of dollars worth of ammo per second to shoot. There are about a dozen in circulation. But for some odd reason, people who can afford them don’t run around banks with pantyhose on their faces demanding money.

Moreover, anyone who has that much money and needs defense use bodyguards. Do you see any presidents toting machine guns around, driving everywhere in tanks? Why doesn’t Bill Gates have a battleship?

We vote in America, and I like it that way. Anyhow, in my opinion, a line must be drawn somewhere with respect to what firearms civilians can own. If you don’t draw a line, the super-wealthy could afford the incredibly powerful weapons our military uses, this, in my opinion, could be REALLY bad. The line, as voted, is at various levels in each state. Personally I don’t see why people debate and moreover, cry, about the topic.

It IS “highly relevant today” with FEMA relocation centers across the nation!

@Echdrum Good post. Thanks for the reply. Although I can’t go with Kucinich (gun owner control advocate and socialist) I get your point. Both guys are non-interventionists.

Ron Paul – 2012

FaganRoberts September 8, 2011 at 10:58 am

@cicero5513 What? Because he’s an America First patriot or because he won’t cow tow to the Zionist Neocon war party? You want an interventionist President? Vote for Barky or Perry or Palin or Bachmann. Anyone of the last 3 are nominated Barky is a shoe-in for another 4 years. RP may not be perfect, but he’s the only chance to turn the country around from an assured destructive course. And both the Republicans and the Democrats know it!

Ron Paul – 2012

Echdrum September 8, 2011 at 11:13 am

@FaganRoberts – Very well put. (Sadly) but that is the truth. Ron Paul & Dennis Kucinich are the only hope for making the United States turn back to greatness instead of going toward evil world take-over$ – either fast or slow.

The Constitution doesn’t say the right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed; except for “nuts” and ex-cons.
Both psychiatric evaluation and prison sentencing are largely administered by the State, they are both mostly arbitrary in their findings and remedial approaches.
Why should Statist quacks and Wackenhut/G4S fascists determine one’s gun eligibility rights (which are not to be infringed)?

machaeroguy September 8, 2011 at 12:53 pm

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” This sage admonition is dismissed by Romney @ 2:03 as “irrelevant today.”

…Because tyrannical governments only existed back in the 18th century Mitt? …..Right.

I have no idea what attracts so many Republicans to this two-face.

IcyScythe September 8, 2011 at 1:38 pm

@cicero5513 it’s called blowback dude, I encourage you to research our government’s activities over the past 50 years around the world. We have systematically overthrown multiple democratically elected governments and replaced them with brutal right wing dictators so we could have easily controlled puppets around the globe.

The most striking recent example would probably be our funding of Osama when he was fighting the Russians, we were funding terrorism. When you piss on people they get mad.

txngasnguns September 8, 2011 at 2:16 pm

@cicero5513 With all due respect…I understand your point, however the GOP needs to understand our point. WE WILL NEVER SUPPORT A CANDIDATE WHO HAS MANAGED TO FLIP FLOP ON EVERY STANCE HE HAS EVER HAD IN THE LAST 10 YEARS. To let such a thing pass in the name of getting along for the party…(IMO) is EQUALLY as nutty as you think Paul’s foreign policy is.

somuch4freedom September 8, 2011 at 2:49 pm

@kampuskop lol, way to not vote for the same status quo……oh wait, you are

FaganRoberts September 8, 2011 at 3:22 pm

@SirPwn4lot Again, one does have a natural right to drive a car on a public thoroughfare. At any rate, the distinction between a privilege and a right is telling in the least and huge at the most

FaganRoberts September 8, 2011 at 3:42 pm

@cicero5513 Obama will do fine on his own. But he’s praying that anyone other than Paul gets the nomination. For if anyone other than RP is nominated, Barky will win a 2nd term. He’s knows it and the Republicrats know it as well. The Republicans are going to concede 2012 to Obama. They have bigger fish to fry and more gains to be made in 2016. Look at the BIg picture. This is why there is no establishment support for RP.

SirPwn4lot September 8, 2011 at 3:43 pm

@FaganRoberts I agree, and I’d like to know the distinction in natural rights between the right to use a gun and the right to drive a car.

Grunt922 September 8, 2011 at 4:12 pm

@cicero5513 if you havnt noticed EVERYONE supports him. your the first person ive ever heard say he wont make it.

fenderbender256 September 8, 2011 at 4:20 pm

Earlier this week at the Wal Mart in Logan, West Virginia, they was a man named Jesus “Jesse” Canul who had cashed his paycheck was followed out to his car and robbed. The man threatened to kill him if he didn’t give him his wallet. So he gave it to him and the robber took 3 steps to get away andJesse pulled out the pistol on his side and shot him in the back and he died. Now Jesse is being charged with murder. Please thumps up this so somebody can do something about it and help jesse be free

cicero5513 September 8, 2011 at 5:09 pm

Okay, All you Ron Paul supporters…Listen.
Ron Paul is a genius on issues like the constitution and monetary policy, but he comes across as a nut on foreign policy the way he agrees with the blame America first crowd and he will never get the Republican nomination. All you guys who do nothing but bash the leaders in the Republican nomination race are only helping Obummer’.

Its funny how most govt officials say they defend the constitution but in reality, few do.

kampuskop September 8, 2011 at 6:10 pm

TheEthereallotus September 8, 2011 at 7:05 pm

Kingofprinces85 September 8, 2011 at 7:22 pm

dissent4liberty September 8, 2011 at 7:33 pm

@dissent4liberty Thank you Fagan, personal info kept from FBI as much as I can. PATRIOT Act passage was when I KNEW without a doubt there is a master plan. As far as NRA, like MANY other “Credible” organizations such as Veterans For Peace, have been bought and silenced.
